A companion for the loud moments
Say it out loud. Then learn to hold it.
Ventlyo is somewhere to put down whatever you're carrying, by text or by voice. It listens first, helps you find the words for what you're actually feeling, and then walks one skill with you. Optional worksheets when you want to practise. No guilt for skipping.
- Free to start
- Private to you
- Not a replacement for therapy
The order matters
A conversation, not a worksheet.
Nobody opens a workbook at 9pm on a bad night. They open a chat. So that's where it starts — you get heard first, properly, and the skill only shows up once the wave has somewhere to go.
With memory enabled, it can remember what you said, what helped, and what made it worse. The skills get more yours and less generic, until you can run them without the app open.
How it works
Three things, in this order.
The order is the whole design. Skills land when someone feels understood, and bounce off when they don't.
Say it
Choose your language and answer a few short setup questions with taps or voice. Personal details are optional. Then talk or type in your own words.
Name it
It reflects back what it's hearing until you land on the word that's actually true — underwater, wired, hollow, furious. Naming a feeling is quietly one of the strongest things you can do to it.
Practice it
Once you've been heard, you get one skill. Not a chapter, not homework — one thing you can do in the next two minutes, with a note on why it works.
Honest limits
What this is not.
An app that promises to fix you is lying to you. This one is trying to be useful for twenty minutes on a hard night, and honest about everything else.
It isn't therapy
No diagnosis, no treatment plan, no clinician behind the screen. If you're working with a therapist, this sits beside that work — it doesn't replace it.
It isn't a crisis service
If you're in danger or thinking about ending your life, a person needs to know. Call or text 988 in the US and Canada, or your local emergency number.
It will sometimes get it wrong
It can misread you, repeat itself, or offer the wrong skill on the wrong night. You're allowed to tell it so, or close the app and try again tomorrow.
If you are in immediate danger, please stop reading and call 988 (US/Canada), 116 123 (Samaritans, UK & Ireland), or your local emergency number.
You don't have to have the words ready.
That's what it's for. Start with “I don't know where to begin” and go from there.
